The development is going great, so here is the promised new bigger and hopefuly better map. It still needs some polishing, but I’m sure that you will enjoy it.
Changes:
Added a new map
Tried my best at map making, I hope that you will enjoy it.
Created course for the new map
It consists of 17 controls, go check it out yourself 😉
Bug fixing
Some minor bugs were fixed.
What’s next?
Now i will focus on polishing the game and bug fixing. After that I will port the game to PC or try to import orienteering maps automatically to the game.

For the past few weeks I’ve been cooking some exciting stuff. I wanted to make sure that everything is working before moving on to making bigger maps, so there is still only one map available but it is upgraded.
Here are the most significant changes:
Added compass
You can now go straight through the forest with the help of the compass, but be aware that you have to hold it horizontally in order for it to work.
Improved movement
Movement now uses physics engine, so it is more reliable and smoother.
Made the terrain look better
Added some new assets like grass, modelled few things (new tree, rocks) and added water.
Added a main and pause menu
In the main menu you are able to choose the map and route that you want to complete (currently there is only one). When you are in game, you can acces pause menu by pressing X.
Added sound effect when punching the control.
There is now a beep sound that ensures you that the control was punched.
Added ability to pick up or drop map and compass.
You have now to constantly hold your grip button in order to not drop map and/or compass.
Added slow effect while running through the denser forest.
You will now have to take it into account when choosing the best variant 🙂
That were the most important features that were added in this update.
What next?
Currently I’m making a bigger and more interesting map, you can expect it to be done in couple of next days. Stay tuned!
That’s everything for this devlog. Thank you very much for reading it and feel free to comment on it and give suggestions!
